architect meetingToday is an exciting day for the project as we get to sit down and spend a few hours at Interface Studios Architects (ISA) working on the design of the house. As seen in earlier posts we have the basics of what we want down and have a few ideas for floorplans already. Today will be the day the we work review all of our ideas and goals and try to put them into a design that we can give to Level 5 to quote for construction. Once we get the initial quotes back we will all sit down together to fine tune the design in order to meet both our budget and design goals.

Hopefully we will have some new sketches and ideas tomorrow to share from today’s meeting.

If you enjoyed reading this post I can promise you'll love our new writing over at Postgreen Homes. Yeah, we know that's the same thing your favorite band said and their new album is nowhere near as good as their early stuff, but seriously, we are actually still getting better.

There also isn't much conversation to be had here . . . at least not with us. So come on over to the Postgreen Homes Blog and tell us what you think of our new(ish) digs and crazy ideas. We will be sure to tell you what we think of your opinion.

Dear Design Team,

I applaud all of you for having the heart and vision to see this project through. My little house is 1500 sq.ft
and even though I have lived in larger older homes, one
of which was a carriage house in Germantown, I am reminded everyday that I made a wise choice in purchasing a small dwelling. Not only am I warmer when it’s freezing outside, but I can actually afford to renovate and really beautify my space. I enjoy this the most. By doing a project like this in this city, we are creating our own urban “Walden”. Henry would be so
proud. I think these homes would sell because people
are becoming more “green” conscience and want to live
more whole, healthier lives in general. Press on people!
I am with you and will continue to follow this fabulous
project every step of the way. If I can be of any help, please let me know. Good luck!
