Quick post to release the first budget spreadsheet for the 100K House. This will be a work in progress over the next few weeks as we make our final design tweaks.

Chad, really appreciate the time and info. you have put into this spreadsheet. Your the first person on any site or blog I read or seen that breaks the true #’s out. My wife and I are starting to build in the next few months and are going to use SIP’s instead of stick framming (@2529 sq.ft. on first floor and guest rm. upstairs / 1900 sq.ft. finished basement). Will be using Superior Walls basement SIP system vs. concrete for basement and hopefully SIP stuture walls on rest of house if the price is right. I have sent plans off for SIP bid, but will be @ week before panel drawings will be ready. AS an owner/ builder, I need to save as much as possible in $ and construction time not to mention long term living. I will post again with the price difference (SIP vs. STICK)when i get final bids. Maybe it will help someone else out like yours helped me.
