I received official zoning approval for both homes today, stamped and signed by the zoning department from the City of Philadelphia. This is a huge step in the development process as zoning in Philadelphia can be very difficult and sometimes delays projects months and even years.
The zoning examiner for our case had made a minor error on our properties by rejecting them for not including parking. He was very quick to admit to and remedy this error and only delayed our approval by a few days. Overall I had a great experience with the City of Philadelphia and everyone was very friendly and helpful during the entire process.
Our next step is to get construction drawings finished and submitted to the city so we can get building permits.
If you enjoyed reading this post I can promise you'll love our new writing over at Postgreen Homes. Yeah, we know that's the same thing your favorite band said and their new album is nowhere near as good as their early stuff, but seriously, we are actually still getting better.
There also isn't much conversation to be had here . . . at least not with us. So come on over to the Postgreen Homes Blog and tell us what you think of our new(ish) digs and crazy ideas. We will be sure to tell you what we think of your opinion.
