Dwell & AIA Contest Submission

June 30, 2008

Dwell and AIA have teamed up to sponsor a small “How Green Are You?” contest on Dwell’s website. We figured we might as well submit something since we already have a bunch of images and we now have Nic to write for us. The 250 word submission below took Nic all of about 15 minutes [...]

New Renderings and Floorplans for 100K Project

June 27, 2008

ISA has been working on some new renderings for the 100K project due to some contests and articles we are working on. The first image below of the 100K rendering plopped onto the actual site is probably my favorite image generated to date. Definitely follow the link to the full-size flickr image on this one. [...]

Well I finally got tired of being overwhelmed with trying to market for 4+ websites, research green building and grow a development company on a daily basis. This week Postgreen hired its first employee, Nic Darling, to help out with Marketing and PR duties on a part time basis. Nic is a long-time friend of [...]

Appliances for the 100K House

June 19, 2008

The appliance list has been a work in progress for some time now. It’s no easy task trying to balance affordability, modern design and energy efficiency when searching for appliances. In keeping with our direction to spend more of the budget on the pieces that are harder to replace and will have the most impact [...]

Plans Submitted to Philly for Building Permits

June 17, 2008

This morning we officially submitted our building plans to the city of Philadelphia and applied for building permits for both homes. We are expediting the permitting process and it will most likely take us 3-4 weeks to receive our permits from the city as long as there is nothing major wrong with our plans. The [...]

Video of 100K Presentation at Ignite Philly

June 17, 2008

The video is up on the Ignite Philly site as well as You Tube. I had a bit of trouble viewing the video at the Ignite site so I recommend the You Tube version. It’s five minutes long and worth a listen if you have the time. What was really encouraging was the hear an [...]

Open House at Vader House on Fletcher St

June 16, 2008

Greg La Vardera of LamiDesign and Materialicious fame has been so gracious as to organize an open house at the modern rehab we posted on a few weeks ago. Since that post, the “Vader House” on Fletcher St has been picked up by almost a dozen other modern design blogs and seems to have struck [...]
