SIP's were only adopted as part of an IRC supplement in 2007, they are not part of the 2006 IRC or IBC codes, and the supplement was never adopted or accepted in the State of PA or City of Philadelphia for any type of construction. SIP's are code accepted for industrialized residential homes in PA. So consider yourself lucky. Either the examiner did not know what they were looking at and no experience or didn't bother. Too bad for all the others trying to use SIP's. Will be in the 2009 codes for 2010. Good Luck on the homes!

Hey that's great Chad, our project got slightly derailed here in B'more (do to the amount of surplus housing) but we're still committed to doing a project in '09.
Still love to give you a hand when you get around to building. I'm originally from Jersey (near Haddon Field) and wouldn't mind a visit.
