I don’t have a lot to post today. We have a busy week ahead as we are trying to finalize the construction budget and building contract by the end of the week as I am going on my first vacation in four years next week. We settle on the land on August 28th and should break ground shortly after. Tomorrow we will be kicking off our pre-sales-pre-construction marketing campaign for the sale of the 120K House with some interesting and very amateur video content.
I also finished clearing and spraying the weeds that were overtaking the sidewalks around the land for our second project. The neighbors were fined by the city even though they do not own the lots so we are trying to help them get out of that fine. I will try to post some before and after pictures when I have the time.
That’s if for project updates so I will now shamelessly plug a new series of blog posts we are writing on our very much less successful Postgreen blog. Nic has taken the lead and signed us up to take part in “Philadelphia’s Green Office Pledge.” Since the pledge’s website is somewhat lacking in info, we decided to write a 31 blog post series to expand on each of the pledge’s points. If we have enough energy when done, maybe there will be a nice e-book to summarize the series. Nic has put a lot of effort into our first video post for the series on changing lights to CFL’s (Compact Floresent Lights). We are only six posts into the series so we have a ways to go. The video is not short at over six minutes, but some of you may find it entertaining. Few will probably be educated from it, but it’s worth checking out anyways.
