The 100K House project is nearing completion at the end of the month and we have begun taking final professional photos. ISA and Postgreen have hired Sam Oberter, a local professional architectural photographer, to shoot all final photos of the project. We got a bit of a head start last week due to a few publications wanting better pics than Nic or I could take with our iPhones.
Stop by our Postgreen Flickr account if you want to leave Sam some comments directly on his handiwork. These were taken very quickly by Sam under not the most finished of circumstances and he did a great job. We are really looking forward to giving him two completely finished homes to work with in a few weeks that are actually clean. Look for these pics in an Inquirer article this Friday by Inga Saffron as well.

These look so good… great job!
Looks amazing!
The kitchen really looks sharp, but why is there an oven where the dishwasher should be?
looks like you need some color correction. The picture of the house on the corner is very different from the frontage of the recessed one. Which is truer? Remember, photography is all an illusion and to make the right illusion you need to have consistency.
Thanks for the complements guys.
Andy – The dishwasher is actually just on the other side of the sink. It’s a bit out of view in this image.
Ted – Keep in mind these photos were taken at completely different times of the day. They are both true. The first one was taken near sunset with little daylight compared to the brighter one of the 100K facade only. Also, these photos were taken very quickly with little time for post production due to time constraints. Sam will have much more time to setup, shoot and produce the final pictures once the homes are fully done.
Are there lights installed under the overhead cabinets to provide task lighting when working at the kitchen counter? The ceiling light will be blocked by a persons head and upper body.
Can you get them to photoshop out the pole?
The plywood backsplash and stair wall turned out great! Any useful info on the finish treatment? At the kitchen, is this applied over top of gyp board, or directly to the studs?
Beautiful photos! Of course the subject helps…
Hey, great job! I want to do something along the same lines. I want to see this place, where is it exactly. Im just outside the city but i know it pretty well.
Thanks
Also, are you at zero energy now? If not, what more would it take?
Thanks
Dave – We are not zero energy on these homes. We are looking at it for the Passive Project with a roughly 2 kW array. We are located in the East Kensington neighborhood of Philly. Our projects page has more details.
Hey guys, great work, although i have moved, i lived right down the street at the mild depot while this was going up, wish i had known what was going up, thought it was just a no-lib house, but think it’s awesome know that i read about it…
I Plan on tearing down parents old home. Would your company build the same units on that lot? Or do you guys determine the locations.
Thanks for any info.
