Have you stumbled upon these guys yet? (I'm guessing it's more than likely that you have.)

http://www.projectfrog.com/

I just discovered them while reading the Pew report on the Clean Energy Economy, but they don't have a cool visualization/costing widget. I'm looking forward to seeing PostgreenHomes.com. Is this the future of pseudo-prefab?

Hey Nic,
This upcoming website looks like a smash hit. Would it be possible to create or upload these models into Google Earth? Potential customers could see their Postgreen home in any variety of different environments - It would just add another dimension and should be easy to implement. Congrats on the work you've done on the 100k house, I enjoy following the blog!
