Hi! My name is Yvette Homer, I’ve been interning at Postgreen for a few weeks now. I have a passion for sustainable and socially responsible development and naturally Postgreen has been the perfect place for me to expand my range of knowledge and experience. I look forward to learning from Nic and Chad over the next few months and from all those followers who contribute to the site!
I’m a graduate student at Temple University studying community and regional planning. I previously worked in New York City as an Assistant Property Manager for residential and commercial buildings, which is where I developed my interest in real estate. While I enjoyed my job, I wanted to pursue a profession in which I could make a contribution to society. I found that community and regional planning was the perfect way to combine my passion for real estate while dedicating my career to improving the quality of life for others. Over the past year I have amounted a vast amount of knowledge in land use and environmental planning along with economic and sustainable development. I look forward to the opportunity to implement this varied knowledge in the field of green real estate development, you know, the good guys.
Over the next few months I’m going to help out with all aspects of Marketing and PR (that was my major in undergrad) as well as development, an “Yvette of All Trades” if you will. Postgreen is a revolutionary company working to improve the environment while changing the face of Philadelphia both physically and socially. I’m excited for what the next few months will bring!
