I own a Toyota Prius and my husband and I end up having competitions about who can get the highest bars on the gas mileage graph. LOL...pretty silly, but fun and with beneficial result (improved driving practices). The graph is fun to look at even without a competition and I think everyones gas mileage would improve if all cars were so outfitted.

Love the idea of trash cans with multiple holes with different points marked on them or lights or sounds.

Energy monitoring systems in houses have been proven to improve energy consumption by increasing awareness. Adding a way someone could compare themselves to other households (even if anonymously) via hooking the monitors to an Internet site would be a kick.

Instead of the Biggest Loser TV show where people lose body weight, why not have a show that is the Biggest Loser that helps people decrease their carbon footprint.
