Amanda is one of two interns joining us this summer. She will be writing her on the blog with some regularity, so lets make her welcome. I’ll let her tell you the rest.
Allow me to take a moment to introduce myself to the many supportive followers of Postgreen. My name is Amanda Brennan, and I am one of the new interns here at Postgreen homes. My experience here has just started but stay tuned to my future blogs on new innovative products currently being introduced into the world of interiors as well as exteriors.
I’m currently a student at Philadelphia University working towards my undergraduate degree in interior design. My status is unknown due to transferring into the school just two years ago and having an overdose of credits compared to others. Presently I’m attending part-time until graduation in May 2012. I started my college career out in Pittsburgh at La Roche College and I studied interior design there for two years. The distance from home began having its effects on me, and it was then that I took the initiative to transfer back home to the city where my heart has always been. Philadelphia University’s program in interior design pushes you in the direction to acknowledge all parts of a structure. Collaboration between the architect and the interior designer is important in order for the structure to take on its function as well as its form. Different from other programs, my degree will be in interior design, not interior decoration which causes me to be knowledgeable in a building’s structure and codes as well as having tons of product knowledge. Products are cool and are what cause a space to take on their own personality.
As I had said before, I will be working with Postgreen in researching new products that are effecting the world of interior design and architecture. There are a ton of products out there that are just waiting to be discovered and I am going to find them! I am very excited to start this adventure and hope you’ll benefit from my work.
If you enjoyed reading this post I can promise you'll love our new writing over at Postgreen Homes. Yeah, we know that's the same thing your favorite band said and their new album is nowhere near as good as their early stuff, but seriously, we are actually still getting better.
There also isn't much conversation to be had here . . . at least not with us. So come on over to the Postgreen Homes Blog and tell us what you think of our new(ish) digs and crazy ideas. We will be sure to tell you what we think of your opinion.
